Professional Supervision

At Sequence, we value ongoing learning and professional development highly. Our team of professionals give back to their diverse professional communities through memberships and professional affiliations, as well as though offering supervision, peer consultation, and professional continuing education.

Individual Supervision Rates towards Clinical Licensure: $ 135.00 per session for non-Sequence providers


Group Supervision

Enrolling Winter 2024, A Co-Led virtual group Supervision for LGPC ( MD & VA)  and LMSW ( MD) clinicians working towards licensure. Group meets for 90 minutes during the weekday for 90 minutes. Meetings occur twice monthly for 3 hours of supervision monthly. Each Supervisor is responsible for a max of 6 supervisees. Supervision contract required, record keeping of sessions provided and a process note summarizing each meeting required by each supervisee.

May be combined with individual supervision. Supervisees will be assigned readings and expected to connect clinical work to concepts and demonstrate connections. Active clinical caseload is a pre-requisite.

The Thinking Therapist 

Wine and cheese monthly therapist book group October-May, Second Friday 4-6

In-Person Therapist Book Group meets Fridays at 4-6pm on the second Friday of the month at Cedar House in Silver Spring. Join other therapist for lively discussion of a therapy related book or several books on a theme: topics include theory, technique, culturally relevant, human development, neuroscience, you name it, we can read it. Contact the facilitator to register and learn about the book list, this is a free event, parking at meters are 2.00 per hour. Space is limited to 10, each participant is asked to bring a happy hour snack to share.

Gottman-Informed Couples Therapy Consultation Group

This monthly in-person groups meets on Saturday mornings in Rockville in the conference room at the Tower Oaks Professional Park. Join a group of your peers to present and discuss couples cases from the perspective of the Gottman method. Therapists off all skill level are welcome to attend, therapists who have completed levels 1-3 of the Gottman training are encouraged to attend. Attendance is free, $10.00 is requested to receive attendance documentation to use for CEUs as is allowed by associated licensing board. Money is used towards administrative fees and lite refreshments.

Continuing Education

The Sequence Institute is committed to offering high quality continuing education programs for behavioral health professionals, and offers community education events throughout the year. The Institute does so through CE course approval by the ASWB ACE program.

The Sequence Institute works with internal and external providers to offer CE courses, virtually or in-person using our office spaces.  We are happy to collaborate with you to offer a course! Working with Dreams in Psychotherapy: A Relational Approach

This 3-hour, virtual course is intended for mental health clinicians who are interested in learning about dream interpretation in clinical practice. The goal of this course is to provide introductory information about utilizing dreams in psychotherapy and to provide an overview of three methods of working with dreams that attendees can feel comfortable integrating into their clinical practice.
