Continuing Education

The Sequence Institute is committed to offering high quality continuing education programs for behavioral health professionals, and offers community education events throughout the year. The Institute does so through CE course approval by the ASWB ACE program.

The Sequence Institute works with internal and external providers to offer CE courses, virtually or in-person using our office spaces.  We are happy to collaborate with you to offer a course! Child Trauma, Resiliency, & Compassion Fatigue
For therapists, caretakers, educators, and treatment providers working with children and teens who have been impacted by trauma.

The Childhood Trauma, Resiliency, and Compassion Fatigue workshop provides professionals and caretakers with information to better understand trauma and its impact on children and adolescents
, and the ability to recognize signs of trauma in children and adolescents
. You will learn evidence-based practices, models, and data on trauma and resiliency, and tips on how to avoid compassion fatigue.

Childhood Trauma, Resiliency, and Compassion Fatigue, #4405, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Sequence Institute as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 10/14/2022 - 10/14/2024. Social workers completing this course receive 3 Clinical continuing education credits.

Sequence loves books! And great articles, videos, you name it. Our professional library is now 500 + items deep, and represents old and new concepts, theories and clinical best practices. These resources are available to any Sequence Consultant, and to any individual supervised by a Sequence Consultant.


Happy Hour Wine & Cheese Book or Movie Group

Previously, the Sequence Institute would host a peer-based book or movie discussion group on the first Friday of the month from 5-7pm in our Silver Spring meeting room. Participants bring refreshments and an active interest in the topic of the month. We are hoping to re-vamp this group in 2022!
