Women's Therapy Group: Create and Express Yourself


This group is for women who are seeking a safe place for self expression and personal exploration, to grow and develop their ability to be aware of and express their thoughts and feelings, form stronger coping strategies, process a loss or significant life event, and deepen their insight and sense of connection.


Membership: The group runs in 6 week sessions, with membership limited to 5. A complimentary pre-screening meeting with the facilitator is required.  The group meets every Wednesday evening unless other wise noted.


Group Format: The group will follow a traditional talk therapy approach based on psychodynamic therapy with members sharing and receiving feedback as issues are addressed. The group members will also select from a number of creative arts and mind-body modalities with a range of methods for expression added in, such as a group watercolor exercise, poetry reading, and/or a mindfulness breathing exercise. These techniques are offered to the group by the facilitator to explore meaning and develop a stronger sense of self and balance.


Facilitator: Group will be led by Ms. Sumi Holman LCSW-C, A skilled therapist at Sequence, Sumi has led numerous groups and has a deep interest in helping women navigate complex life transitions and develop stronger relationships to themselves and others. She brings a depth of skill combined with a fresh and positive spirit to her work. Her extensive psycho dynamic training combines with her play therapy and creative expression training in this women's group.




Day & Time: 
Wednesday evenings 6 pm -7:15 pm, 6 weeks sessions
$75.00 per session, Insurance Reimbursable, Free Parking
